god calls believers to impact their community, locally and globally.  WE BELIEVE God has uniquely gifted each person to serve inside and outside the walls of the church building. in addition to supporting and sending out missionaries,  LIVING GRACE has many ministries to reach and bless the people with the Gospel of Christ within our local community.  These ministries are all volunteer run - filled with people who want to make a difference.

Imagine what our families, church, and community would be like if we all took the time to do what God uniquely designed each of us to do in serving others. The ripple effect of each person making their unique contribution would result in a revolution of Christ's love being felt in tangible, life-changing ways. Whether you have lots of time to volunteer each week or only a few hours every once in a while, prayerfully consider how you could be used by God to make a difference for His kingdom!

PADS

During the months of September through May, Living Grace serves on the second Saturday of each month at the PADS Shelter which is located at Cary United Methodist Church,  500 First Street, Cary.

There are specific ways you can help:

  • Prepare food for dinner- Bring food hot and ready to be served.
  • Provide food for breakfast and lunch - We will make the guests a hot breakfast and a bagged lunch  onsite
  • Serve dinner- Serve dinner and dessert to guests.

What do I do on the day of the Shelter?

Please drop off food at 6:00 p.m. at Cary United Methodist Church located at 500 N. First Street.  If you would like to provide food but can’t be there at 6:00 p.m., we can make other arrangements for you!

ANNUAL FREE CLINIC

Each year  Living Grace hosts a Free Clinic for people in our community.

Guests attending the clinic are able to receive services like medical exams, vision screening, and dental screenings. A  Food Pantry truck, backpacks, clothing closet and lunch are also available to anyone who comes.  All services are free of charge.

Because this is an extensive undertaking done wholly by volunteers, we have a variety of volunteer opportunities as well as donation needs to help this clinic be a success. This is a fantastic opportunity to serve as a small group or family. We have a number of ways kids can serve as well! Thank you for taking an interest in this event as we are able to serve over 400 people in one day in such a practical way!

This year's Free Clinic will be held on Saturday, August 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

short-term mission opportunities

Honduras- We send a team of 15-20 people each year for a one week trip to serve with the ministry of El Ayudante outside of the colonial city of Comayagua  in west central Honduras. The mission team provides medical, dental and optical care to an agricultural  community of some 15,000 people while also sharing with them the gospel of Jesus Christ. In addition to the medical care, teams install water filter systems, build latrines, pour cement floors in local homes in the community and provide bible classes for children in the local schools. Each trip touches the lives of hundreds of Hondurans with many coming to faith in Jesus Christ and being encouraged in their spiritual journey.

Albania- LGCC has recently partnered with a church planting ministry in Albania with intentions of sending future teams to help with the Gospel work there.

Foreign Missions

Living Grace Community Church is committed to carrying out the Great Commission to be witnesses for Jesus Christ throughout the world. Approximately 12 cents of every dollar given to Living Grace goes to Missions outside our community. In 2012 Living Grace invested almost $90,000 in helping fulfill Christ's command in areas outside our own community ('to the ends of the earth').

LGCC supported missionaries serve in more than 12 countries around the world. In addition to the missionaries we support, we are also involved in a variety of short term mission experiences designed to expose our people to cross-cultural ministry and to use their gifts and skills to touch the lives of others with the love of Christ and the good news of the Gospel.
